Our Rooms

With an excellent central Magnetic Island location our quality hostel offers comfy beds in a clean, modern and secure environment. We have plenty of dorms available and some private rooms with ocean views for group leaders.

Our Facilities

Nomads Magnetic Island is the one and only place for the ultimate party with a 100% beachfront location, Our Kitchen is open for Breakfast, Lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Our Bar opens at 10am daily. The bar at Nomads Magnetic Island Island offers a range of different nights and parties 7 days a week.

Only a short walk to the town centre, there are direct transport options available and with a Cafe and Bar onsite everything you need for that weekend away is all in the one spot.

Directions

Passenger ferry: The ferry departs from Townsville to Magnetic Island 17 times a day, with return tickets priced at $42.

/> If you’re arriving by Greyhound or Premier bus, the stop is directly outside this ferry terminal, making for a seamless transfer.

Once you arrive on the island, you’ll find two bus stops right outside the ferry terminal. Just head to Bus Stop 1—it’ll take you straight to Nomads Hostel. A bus ride to Nomads is only 50 cents!

Car ferry: The car ferry is only a 2 minute drive from Townsville town centre. When you arrive at Nelly Bay Harbour turn left, past the supermarket. When you are driving along the road next to the beach, you will see the resort at the end of the stretch. You will recognise it as our nearest neighbour is 1.2km away.
